Unicorns 2014 serves as a good companion to who will cut our hair when we re gone pretty burbly pop with a sort of bright futuristic edge. Released 18 may 2004 on suicide squeeze catalog no. It has since been repressed in limited quantities on pink and brown vinyl by alien8 and was re released on august 26 2014 on the band s own label caterpillar records. The ep is not their best work since a few of the four tracks aren t quite as good as they could have been but it s a pleasant short listen.

I m not sure if it s just the unicorns love of messing with their audience or a mistake but the labels on the vinyl are on the opposite sides that they should be and the black vinyl doesn t show up it looks like a black bit of vinyl pressed between two pink layers. The band announced their split in late 2004 before reuniting for a short run of shows in 2014. It sounds amazing and i love the packaging.
